Quad Cities Nuclear Power Stations Units 1 and 2 Quad Cities Station Security Plan NRC Docket Nos. 50-254 & 50-265 TAC Nos. 65386/65382 Enclosed is the original and three (3) copies of Revision 38 of the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station Security Plan. This revision eliminates certain security requirements for controlling access of personnel and materials into reactor containment in accordance with the deletion of paragraph (d)(8) of 10CFR 73.55 as published September 7,1995 in the Federal Register, in addition, Figure 6-1 was updated to reflect the current locations of the Hand Geometry Biometric Readers f
and Chapter 7 updated to include the actions taken when an individual outside the Protected Area is involuntarily terminated for cause.
Pursuant to 10CFR 50.54(p), the signed original and three copies of the security plan revisions are being provided to your office. A copy of this letter and two copies of the security plan revisions are being sent to Region 111.
We have concluded that these changes do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the plan. These enclosures contain Safeguards information which must be protected from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 73.21.
