McGuire Nuclear Station, Unit 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 Notice of Withdrawal of Proposed Technical Specification Amendment Table 3.3-6 (TAC Nos. M91081/91082)
Dear Sir:
A proposed license amendment to Appendix A of Facility Operating License NPF-9 and NPF-17 for McGuire Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2, respectively, was submitted to your. office on December 7, 1994.
The proposed change to the McGuire Nuclear Station Technical Specifications sought to modify the action statement concerning the Control Room Air Intake at times when the radiation monitors (EMF-43A and 43B) were inoperable.
After-several teleconferences with various members of your staff and subsequent discussions with McGuire Systems experts, we have determined that the pursuit of the proposed amendment is no longer necessary.
Therefore, we request that further NRC staff review of the proposed amendment be discontinued as of this date.
By copy of this letter, our intent to withdraw the proposal is being forwarded to the appropriate North Carolina state official.
