- POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 In our letter dated September 28, 1983, we stated that we expected to be able to install tiie single-failure-proof auxiliary building crane trolley at our Point Beach Nuclear Plant by August 31, 1984. At this tim.e, we are still receiving returned P'eint Beach spent fuel assemblies from two off-site storagc 1_ocations.
Since receipt of these assemblies requires the use of the auxiliary building crane, we have been unable to initiate the installation of the new crane trolley. Since this modification also requires the temporary removal of a portion of the Auxiliary Building roof which should not be done in winter, we have revised the schedule to begin installation of the new trolley following the Spring 1985 Unit I refueling outage.
We intend to subinit the.. final design review and plant-specific infor-mation for the auxiliary building crane, including the required seismic analysis,
_ prior to installation of the new crane trolley. We expect to submit a license amendment application to incorporate Technical Specification changes which will permit Wisconsin Electric tn fully utilize the single-failure-proof crane at the time of installation.
