Our response included several committments specific to Catawba Nuclear Station. Attached is a list. of these committments, referenced to the appropriate section cf G. L. 83-28, and the current status of each.

Committments Made In Response to G. L. 83-28 by Letter from H. B. Tucker to D. G. Eisenhut 11/4/83 Committment:

Implementation of Reactor Trip Investigation Program.

(Section 1.1)

Status:

This program is in place and will be implemented upon initial criticality. Ready for Region II to Review as a TM1 Action Item.

Committment:

Issue Catawba Nuclear Station Quality Standards Manual, for Structures, Systems and Components.

(Section 2.2.1.1 and 2)

Status:

This Manual was issued on May 4, 1984.

Committment: Provide Description of program to ensure that appropriate design verification and qualification testing is specified during procurement of safety-related components.

(Section 2.2.1.5)

Status:

A description of this program was submitted by letter from H. B. Tucker to D. G. Eisenhut, February 2, 1984.

Committment:

Provide a description of the Duke Power Company Vendor Interface Program.

(Section 2.2.2)

Status:

This program was described in detail by letter from H. B. Tucker-to D. G. Eisenhut May 7, 1984.

Committment: Review W Post-Maintenance testing for Reactor Trip System Components and verify its Incorporation into Plant Procedures.

(Section 3.1)

Status:

Review to be completed by December 31, 1984.

Committment: Review of vendor instruction manuals for conpleteness and consistency, and incorporation of changes into plant procedures.

(Section 3.2)

Status:

The Vendor Manual Upgrade Program is in progress.

Committment:

Replace undervoltage trip attachments and verify dimensional tolerance.

(Section 4.1)

Status:

All work is complete.
