-product (i.e.. a pump manufacturer):.

Company

. Design Activity

. Dames & Moore Performed detailed site investigation and

' laboratory testing required to define the geotechnical parameters reported in the preliminary safety analysis report.

As-part of their assignment, they prepared reports documenting the engineering characteristics of the soils encountered including movements under static and dynamic loadings. They also provided a geophysical survey of the. site with the Lcorresponding assessment of dynamic characteristics of the various glacial till members.

Woodkard Clyde

. Responded to the Nuclear Regulatory.

Consultants Lquestion concerning the potential for liquefaction along a creek tributary joining the ultimate heat sink. - Their involvement consisted of a limited field investigation,-literature search and preparation and presentation of oral 1 testimony to the ACRS sub-committee.

' Soil Testing, Established the cyclic dynamic strength of 94 ~

compacted soils used in.and cround the ultimate heat sink. The work included the preparation of a. report documenting the-testing results of representative samples.

.Westenhofffand Novick-

. Performed-laboratory testing of borrow area soils and main dam site soils.

S&L directly supervised their work.
