Gross electrical generation was 190,453 MWH or 48.98% of design e

electrical capacity.

Operating Summary The following is a chronological description of plant operations including other pertinent items of interest for the month.

At the beginning of the reporting period the plant was operating at 80%

capacity due to an inoperable condensate pump.

840905 At 1000 hrs, initiated power reduction for a control rod pattern exchange and other surveillance.

840905 At 1447 hrs, started a return to 80% power.

840910 At 1230 hrs, condensate pump returned to service, started increasing power.

840911 At 0600 hrs, power level held at 95% due to steam carry-under in the reactor vessel.

840918 At 0200 hrs, commenced a reactor shutdown to investigate and correct carry-under.

840918 At 0518 brs, the generator was removed from the grid.

840929 At 0114 hrs, commenced a reactor startup.

840929 At 1628 hrs, the generator was phased to the grid.

840930 At 1330 hrs, comenced a plant shutdown to investigate MSIV timing problems.

840930 At 1500 hrs, the generator was removed from the grid.
