The fire water system is the plant's primary fire suppression system and provides the final backup to all other fire suppression

. systems. -The fire water hoses, or_ laid out alternates, provide adequate protection for required equipment to minimize damage in case of a fire.-

.SIGNIFICANT HAZARDS CONSIDERATIONS I. EVALUATION

' LCO 4.10.7

-The proposed revision to LCO 4.10.7 has no affect on the ability of the fire hose stations to provide protection for structures, systems, and components important to safety.

Identification, by the' new numbering system, will facilitate locating the hose stations during emergencies, as well as for inspection and maintenance purposes.

II. CONCLUSION l

Based on the above evaluation, it is concluded that operation of Fort St. Vrain in-accordance with the proposed change will not l

(1) involve a significant increase in the probability or l consequences of_an accident previously evaluated, (2) increase the possibility of a new or different. kind of accident from any accident previously evaluated, or (3) involve a significant l reduction in any margin of safety.

Therefore, this change will not increase the risk to the health l and safety of the public nor does it involve any significant I hazards considerations.
