Docket No. STN 50-482 Reft Interim Report KMLNRC 84-066 dated 4/18/84 from GLKoester, KG&E to E!! Johnson, NRC Subj: Withdrawal of Potential 10CFR50.55(e) - Positive Displacement Charging Pump Discharge Damper.
Dear Mr. Johnson:
This letter withdraws the potential 10CFR50.55(e) concerning possible weld defects and nonconformances on the discharge dampener tank for the positive displacement charging pump at Wolf Creek Generating Station.
This matter was initially reported on March 10, 1984 and auditional information was submitted in the reference.
The Architect / Engineer has completed an engineering evaluation of the matter described in the reference. Based on the results of that evalua-tion, Kansas Gas and Electric Company (KG&E has determined that the existing conditions would not have affected adversely the safety of operations of Wolf Creek Generating Station had they gone uncorrected.
Therefore, KG&E has concluded that this matter is not reportable pursuant to 10CFR50.55(e).
