McGuire Nuclear Station Unit 2 Docket No. 50-370 Report Due Date Extension Gentlemen:
On August'26, 1984,- the turbine-driven auxiliary'feedwater pump (TDAFP) experienced a short period of reverse operation due to check valves sticking open. This event has subsequently been determined to be reportable pursuant to 10CFR 50.73 (a)(2)(vi)..However, due to the lateness of the: determination and the investigation involved, the LER cannot be submitted within the 30-day time limit. This report will be submitted by October 25, 1984.
