Dear Mr. liunter:
This letter provides the final report submitted pursuant to 10CFR50.55(e) concerning testing of the Wolf Creek containment building polar crane.
This matter was initially reported by Kansas Gas and Electric Company (KG&E) on November 18, 1983, and additional information was provided by the Reference.
The Reference documented a concern with the adequacy of component testing on the Containment Building Polar Crane, Spent Fuel Pool Bridge Crane, and Cask IIandling Crane.
In order to alleviate concerns in this area, the component testing performed by the Constructor was reviewed and any items in question were documented on Nonconformance Reports.
Items requiring retesting were then picked up by the KG&E Startup organi-zation and retested in conjunction with the Preoperational test of the cranes. The testing of the three cranes has now been completed and the cranes are performing as designed.
