Dear Mr.' Schwencer:

Section 4.4.4 of the Safety Evaluation Report (NUPEG-0991, August 1983).for the Limerick Generating Station (IES) Units 1 and 2 requires that a new stability analysis be subnitted to the NPC for operations beyond cycle one.

Further, the SER indicates that this requirenent would appear as a license condition.

We would be pleased to ccruply with such a license condition.

Subsequently, it was agreed in the referenxd telecons that a

~

ccanitment to. provide core thermal hydraulic stability analyses and MCPRs for all cycles after cycle one would eliminate the need for a license condition.

This letter presents the ccanitment which was discussed. - We will provide the -results of stability analyses and MCPRs for cycle two prior to cycle two startup.

Further, stability analyses and MCPRs will continue to be provided for each subsequent cycle prior to startup for that cycle, until such time.as the NBC reaches generic resolution of this issue with General Electric Ccnpany on the GESTAR II docket.
