Dear Mr. Denton:
Ms. E. G. Adensam's letter of June 18, 1984 requested additional information regarding TMI Item III.D.1.1 and' Duke's proposed use of methyl cellulose bags in the ice condenser.
In regards.to TMI Item III.D.1.1, the response to this item in FSAR Table 1.9-1 will be revised in a future amendment to include the Refueling Water System.
The preoperational leak rate test of this system has been completed.
In regards to our request to use methyl cellulose bags in the ice condenser to reduce sublimation, please be advised that ice loading for Catawba Unit l' has been completed without the use of methyl cellulose bags.
A response to the Staff's questions will be provided prior to use in the Catawba Unit 2 ice condenser.
