Catawba Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-413 and 50-414 NRC Bulletin 88-04, Potential Safety-Related Pump Loss Completion of Remaining Long-Term Corrective Actions Action 5 Final Response (TACS 69898 and 69899)
Gentlemen:
The purpose of this letter is to notify the NRC of the completion of the Enal two remaining long-term actions for safety-related pumps per the subject bulletin. These actions were as follows:
NV Boric Acid Transfer Pumns Procedures IT/1,2/A/4200/07D (Boric Acid Transfer Pump Miniflow Verification) were developed to govern quarterly testing of these pumps to verify that no strong pump / weak pump interaction exists. The procedures were approved on November 11,1991.
KC Pumps Minimum flow line setpoint changes and a post-modification miniflow verification test for these pumps were completed. The Unit 2 changes were completed on December 13, 1991.
The Unit I changes were completed on January 14, 1992.
