Enclosed please find an emergency motion aired at getting the irradiated fuel off the UCLA reactor site before the upcomir.g Olympics to be held a few hundred yards away, given the recent withdrwal c/ the license renewal application and the unique security risks associated with t5.e Olympics.
Final action by the Commission is necessary by early next week if there is any chance to commence off-shipment preparations and avoid a potentially serious international incident.
CBG therefore respectfully requests the Conmissioners be polled today to set up oral argument on this Emergency Motion for Monday or Tuesday, and that representatives of the parties be informed by phone today of Commission action thereon so that travel plans can be arranged.
