Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No.1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 Completion of a Code Repair on Main Steam Drain Line li"SIIPD-1-601-Q2 By letter dated May 4,1995, Duquesne Light Company (DLC) requested relief for a temporary non-code repair on main steam drain line li"SHPD-1-601-Q2.
This temporary repair was to be used until the next Unit 1 entry into Mode 5, when a code repair could be performed. The NRC provided written approval of this request by letter dated June 29,1995 (TAC No. M92165).
A code repair was completed on main steam drain line li"SHPD-1-601-Q2 on August 27,1995. The repair replaced the piping from the main steam header sockolet cormection up to and iricluding the degraded elbow. The integrity of the repair was verified during the system leakage examination, which was performed in accordance with the requirements of ASME Code Case N-416-1.
