20555 Subj ect: Clinton Power Station Unit 1 HPCS Diesel Generator Qualification Testing
Dear Mr. Schwencer:
As a result of the April 27. '9S4 meeting in Bethesda, MD on this issue, w<3 agree that the 99% relie ality of the HPCS diesel generator will be deuonstrated for the Clinton equipment in satisfaction of the requirements of Regulatory Guide 1.108 and the intent of NEDO 10905.
As agreed upon, the following combination of tests will be performed:
8 full loop tests to demonstrate the step loading capability of the HPCS diesel generator and the performance of the HPCS pump motor. (Applicable test data vill also be supplied by June 30, 1984 to substantiate the HPCS diesel generator reliability as demonstrated by prior testing).
61 additional HPCS diesel generator tests loaded to the grid at close to the HPCS pump motor load to demonstrate steady-state performance.
