Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
In my letter of April 13, 1984, it was stated that the completion date for corrective action for Unit 1 on the subject deficiency would be complete by April 27, 1984.
The deficiencies identified in the report and as NCI 18,208 have been corrected.
There have been conflicts with the rehydro required and the ESF testing schedule.
This has been discussed with Mr.~ P. K. Van Doorn, JRC Resident Inspector, who finds our plan of action acceptable. The rehydro for NCI 18,208 is scheduled after the completion of ESF testing and will be completed by June 1,1984.
In our investigation of these Special Weld Boss Restrictors, we discovered overgrind-ing of the weld boss body and weld. This problem has been documented by NCI 18,488 and is presently being evaluated by our Design Engineering Group. -This could in-volve some weld repairs and/or reanalysis. According to Mr. Van Doorn, this should also be cleared with the subject deficiency.
