-Attention: iMagEc G gadensausCChidf Licensing Branch No. 4 Duke Power Company requested by letter of December 22, 1982, an exemption to CFR'50.71(c). That regulation would have required Duke Power to update the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) for the two-unit McGuire Station within 24 months after the issuance of the Unit 1 Operating License (OL).
The exemption requested that the FSAR be required to be updated 12 months after the issuance of Unit 2's OL, i.e., May, 1984.
In order to facilitate future revisions, Duke has chosen to completely retype the FSAR using a word processor. This effort has extended the completion date to August, 1984.
Accordingly, the exemption request of December 22, 1982 is hereby amended to reflect a completion date of August, 1984.
