Dear Mr. Eisenhut:

Subject:

Oyr;cr Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Response to Generic Letter 84 Inspections of BWR Stainless Steel Piping The recent detection of flaws in Isolation Condenser System piping at Oyster Creek has introduced a delay in providing the forty-five (45) day response to Generic Letter 84-11.

It has just been detennined that twenty-seven (27) Isolation Condenser System welds outside of containment possess crack-like ultrasonic indications. Because personnel that would ordinarily respond to Generic Letter 84-11 are deeply involved in the current problem, a realistic schedule for providing the required information would allow for a submittal on or about July 15,1984.

In the event that any comments or questions arise, please contact Mr.

Drew Holland at (609) 971-4643.
