SUBJECT:
Revision to RERP-VC, Visitor's Center Procedure
REFERENCE:
Letter, Johnson to Lee,
~
dated May 8, 1984 (G-84153)
Dear Mr. Collins:
In response to your letter dated May 8,1984, the following was the basis for the revision of RERP Implementing Procedure RERP-VC, Visitor's Center Procedure.
The responsibility for radiological monitoring of evacuees at any evacuation location has always been that of the Colorado Department of Health (CDH) as set forth in the State RERP, Annex W (Attachment 1). The Fort Lupton Fire Department is an available Holding Area to be activated by CDH if required, as stated in the State RERP, Annex J, Appendix 2 (Attachment 2).
The Visitor's Center Procedure was revised as it was not explicitly stated that the responsibility to monitor persons at the Fcrt Lupton Fire Department. was CDH's and not Public Service Company of Colorado's. Questions regarding this matter _ arose during a review of the procedure for accuracy and completeness.
