MONTICELLO NUCLEAR GENERATING PIANT k
Docket No. 50-263 License No. DPR-22 Fire Hazards Analysis In a letter dated September 30, 1976 from Mr K R Coller, Assistant Director fqr Operating Reactors, USNRC, we were requested to submit a fire protection study for the Monticello Plant.
Enclosure (2) to Mr Go11er's letter provided specific Euidance on the content of this report. Attached are 40 copies of a report entitled, " Fire Hazards Analysis".
This report provides all of the infomation requested.
On December 10, 1976 Northern States Power Company submitted a document entitled, "Compariaon of Existing Fire Protection Provisions to the Guidelines Contained in Standard Review rian 9.5.1".
'Ihis report compared the fire protection provisions at the Monticello Plant to current NRC guidance in this area.
We are currently using the Fire Hazards Analysis and recomendations provided by our fire protection consultant to detemine which equipment and procedural changes are necessary to comply with certain recomendations contained in Standard Review Plan 9.5.1.
It is our intention to complete this task and all other aspects of our fire protection review by July 1, 1977. At that time we will submit a final report outlining our plans for conforming to the NRC fire protection guidelines in those areas where we now depart from the Commission's recoctnendations.
