DESCRIPTION:
On 16 January 1992, BW/IP was notified by TU Electric of a reportable deficiency involving check valve P/N 72543 (swing arm) on Borg-Warner Model No. 75510 3" - 900 lb. swing check valve.
BW/IP has evaluated the reported defect and concludes the replatament swing arm is equivalent in fit, form, and function to the original. part.
P/N 72543 (swing arm) is used in other valve sites.
BW/IP has identified these valves and is evaluating whether a reportable deficiency exists.
ADDITIONAL ACTIONS PLANNED:
BW/IP evaluation will be completed no later than 16 June 1992.
