It is the understanding of South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G) that ASME Code Case N-498, Alternative Ryle for 10-Year H_vdrostatic Pre 11ure Testina for Class 1 and 2 Systems,Section XI, Division 1, has been reviewed and approved by the NRC. This code case is not currently listed in Regulatory Guide 1.147. Therefore, SCE&G requests NRC approval to u1.ilize ASME Code Case N-498 in the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Inservice Inspection program.
