I have never received any prenotification.
I have never 4
received a note in my message box at the site dealing with NRC 5
inspections.
Based on my experience at the site, we find out about 6
NRC being on the job by word-of-mouth after they get there.

DESCRIBE YOUR INVOLVEMENT WITH NRC AND ANI INSPECTORS.

On the Catawba project the NRC inspectors are normally in 10 different areas on different jobs all the time.
I see the NRC 11 inspectors regularly only because they are in the area I am 12 working.
Also I know if I would like to talk with them, I am free 13 to at any time.

15 The ANI inspectors put hold points on the appropriate paperwork 16 and the craft notifies us and the ANI inspectors when the work is 17 ready.
These hold points consist of cleanups, fitups, preheats, 18 final visual inspection of welds, NDE, etc.
It is normal for the ANI 19 inspectors to accompany a welding inspector on his inspections.
