The subject Bulletin, reference a), states in part that "In the event reactivation of construction or transfer, sale, or other consignment of the subject piping sub-assemblies to another nuclear plant site is contem-plated, both the NRC and the recipient permit holder, or licensee, are to be notified of the disposition of said assemblies under provisions of 10CFR Part 21 regulations."
References b) and c) provided the NRC with the final WNP-3/5 report con-cerning alteration of radiographs of welds in Associated Pipe & Engineer-ing (AP&E) piping assemblies for both WNP-3 and WNP-5. During construction, some tranfers of WNP-5 material to WNP-3 were effected in accordance with approved site procedures. There is a possibility that in the dispositioning of WNP-5 assets, WNP-3 may purchase the subject pipe assemblies. The final report, reference b), noted that all radiographs for AP&E piping assemblies were reviewed and dispositions satisfactorily completed.
The Supply System feels that this letter satisfies the notification re-quirements stated in reference a) for past and future transfers /, sales of WNP-5 piping sub-assemblies to WNP-3.
