Dear Mr. Denton:
In response to Mr. T. M. Novak's letter of May 25, 1984 which transmitted the
" Draft"-Catawba Unit 1 Technical Specifications, Duke certified in my July 3, 1984 letter that the specifications as revised by your letters of June 8 and 22, 1984 accurately reflected the as-built plant. A subsequent letter dated July 17,.1984 transmitted a number of revised specifications.
Based on the extensive preparation and review effort that has gone into the development of the Catawba Unit 1 Technical Specifications, Duke Power Company certifies that, to the best of our knowledge, the " Draft" Catawba Unit 1 Technical Specificatio'ns, as revised by the three referenced letters, accurately reflect the as-built plant and the Catawba FSAR. Furthermore, we are not aware of any conflicts between the " Draft" Catawba Unit 1 Technical Specifications and the NRC staff's SER analyses.
