Provisional Operating License: DPR-17 Docket No.:

50-220

Dear Mr. Skovholt:

This letter is to report the results of the monthly Bergen-Paterson snubber inspection at Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station l

Unit #1 as previously conmitted All snubbers were found to be satisfactory with no leakage detected.

Inasmuch as several months of inspections have shown no problem with the snubber it is proposed that positive reports only be written.

If any problem develops in the inspection of the snubbers, a report would be written within 10 days; ' however, if all snubbers appear satisfactory no report would be written.

Of course, the inspection for each individual snubber would be maintained and the agreed upon inspection frequency continued.

If this proposal is satisfactory to you, please let me know at your earliest convenience.

Very truly yours, Oh 0500hhho R. R. Schneider PDR Vice President - Electric Operations n
