s INTERIM REPORT -DER 84-11 POTENTIAL REPORTABLE DEFICIENCY ARIZONA PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY (APS)
PVNGS UNITS 1
.. Potential Problem I.
It has been determined by chemical analysis that the conduit used in the installation of the PVMP instrumentation is contaminated with chlorides, flourides and other contaminants. The conduit was not cleaned internally prior to it being installed on the CEA shroud both in Newington and at the PVNGS site. The possibility exists for contamination of the RCS.
II.
Approach To and Status of Proposed Resolution Bechtel Engineering.is currently corresponding with Combustion Engineering to determine reportability and technical justification for corrective action.
III. Projected Completion of Corrective Action and Submittal of the Final Report Evaluation of.this condition and submittal of the Fiani Report is Forecast to be completed by May 29, 1984.
