NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE - FEBRUARY, 1984 February 1 The station was in Operational Mode 1 with reactor power a Through nominal 100 percent. The Reactor Coolant System was at February 2 normal operating temperature and pressure.

February 3 At 2350 hours0.0272 days <br />0.653 hours <br />0.00389 weeks <br />8.94175e-4 months <br />, a power reduction to 85 percent was begun in order to remove the ID Condenser Waterbox from service. The box was taken out of service to allow the stainless steel tube plugs to be replaced with fiber plugs.

February 4 Reactor power was stabilized at 85 percent at 0100 hours0.00116 days <br />0.0278 hours <br />1.653439e-4 weeks <br />3.805e-5 months <br />. The ID Waterbox was isolated at 0130 hours0.0015 days <br />0.0361 hours <br />2.149471e-4 weeks <br />4.9465e-5 months <br />, and draining opera-tions were begun.

February 5 The station continued to operate at reduced power while the con-denser tube plug replacement was in progress. All maintenance and testing of the 1D Waterbox was completed at 1130 hours0.0131 days <br />0.314 hours <br />0.00187 weeks <br />4.29965e-4 months <br />.

The waterbox was filled and placed in service by 1510 hours0.0175 days <br />0.419 hours <br />0.0025 weeks <br />5.74555e-4 months <br />.

Ascension in reactor power to 100 percent was begun at 1709 hours0.0198 days <br />0.475 hours <br />0.00283 weeks <br />6.502745e-4 months <br />.

February 6 The station was in Operational Mode 1 with reactor power a Through nominal 100 percent. The Reactor Coolant System was operating i February 29 at normal temperature and pressure.

s MAJOR SAFETY-RELATED MAINTENANCE - FEBRUARY, 1984

1. The throttle linkage was repaired on Auxiliary Feedwater Pump FP-P-2.
2. The breaker relays for the actuation of an open signal on -

MOV-R;l-102A2 were repaired. This valve is on the discharge of Reactor Plant River Water Pump WR-P-1A.
