20555 Gentlemen:
VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 GENERAL DESIGN CRITERIA 17 ANALYSIS In our letter dated June 7, 1983 (Serial No. 326), Vepco stated that tests would be performed on motor control center contactor coils to determine the effects of overvoltage.
Pending the results of the tests, any resolution and related schedule would be submitted when it was available.
We previously anticipated that the submittal would have been available by January 31, 1984.
An independent testing laboratory is conducting the overvoltage tests on the motor control center contactor coils. The current schedule for completion of the overvoltage tests is May, 1984.
The independent testing laboratory is l
scheduled to supply Vepco the final test report by June, 1984, and Vepco will submit any resolution and related schedule by July, 1984.
Vepco continues to l
believe that overvoltage is not a serious concern.
Very truly yours, W. L. Stewart cc:
