Dear Mr. Denton:
South Carolina Electric and Gas Company (SCE&G) hereby requests a revision to the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Technical Specification Table 3.8-2, " Motor Operated valves Thermal Overload Protection and/or Bypass Devices," as shown on Attachment I.
The valves listed on Attachment I should be added to Technical Specification Table 3.8-2 based on an engineering review of Regulatory Guide 1.106 and a comparison of the Technical Specification Table 3.8-2 with Table 3.9-8 of the Final Safety Analysis Report.
Additionally, spelling errors in Technical Specification Table 3.8-2, page 3/4 8-61, should be corrected as shown on Attachment II.
l SCE&G has determined that a finding of no significant hazards consideration is appropriate in that additional requirements are being added to the Technical Specifications.
This change has been reviewed and approved by our Plant Safety Review Committee (PSRC) and the Nuclear Safety Review Committee (NSRC).
A check in the amount of Four Thousand Dollars ($4000.00) is enclosed for processing this change.
