Welds on Bergen-Paterson Sway Struts
Dear Mr. Gagliardo:
On February 24, 1983, Kansas Gas and Electric Company (KG&E) reported a potential 10CFR50.55(e) matter concerning welds on Bergen-Paterson sway struts and additional information was subsequently provided in References 1) through 5). The evaluation of the welds in question have now been completed and KG&E has determined that welds would not have adversely affected safety of operations had they gone uncorrected.
Therefore, KG&E has concluded that this matter is not reportable pursuant to 10CFR50.55(e).
