Docket No. STN 50-482 Ref: Letter KMLNRC 83-153 dated 11/23/83 from GLKoester, KG&E, to JEGagliardo, NRC Subj: Withdrawal of Potential 10CFR50.55(e) -

Cracked card edge connector receptacles in Westinghouse 7300 Process System

Dear Mr. Gagliardo:

On October 25, 1983, Kansas Gas and Electric Company (KG&E) reported a potential 10CFR50.55(e) matter concerning cracked card edge connector receptacles in the Westinghouse 7300 Process System. Additional information was subsequently provided in the Reference.

The evaluation of the matter described in the Reference has now been completed. KG&E has determined that the existing conditions would not have adversely affected safety of operations had they gone uncorrected. Therefore, KG&E has concluded that this matter is not reportable pursuant to 10CFR50.55(e).

Please contact me or Mr. Otto Maynard of my staff if you have any questions concerning this subject.

Yours very truly,
