Docket No. 50-219 SEP 'Ibpic No. III-6 Seismic Design Considerations During the integrated assessment of the SEP topics, the NRC staff requested the GPUN representative to demonstrate the structural adequacy of the 4160 volt switchgear panels.
In addition, GPUN was requested to demonstrate that structural integrity will be maintained for internally mounted components. 'Ihe staff indicated that the structural design adequacy of the load path between an electrical component or device through the psnel frame and bracing to the equipment anchorage had not been demonstrated.
The attached report presents the evaluation and results of a seismic analysis of two types of safety-related electrical equipment at the OCNGS; 4160 volt switchgear and 460 volt unit substation cabinets.
Anchor adequacy and internal load path evaluations for both types of the cabinets were conducted.
