Dear Mr. Vassallo:
By[letterdatedFebruary-2, 1984, you requested Carolina Power & Light Company
- (CP&L) to review NUREG-0737 Item II.K.3.18, ADS Logie Modifications,' relative to our Brunswick' Steam Electric Plant. ~Specifically, you requested that CF&L comply with;the requirements,as provided in your June 3, 1983 letter to choose between alternative modifications which were found acceptable.
In orderlto; comply with your request, CP&L commits to modify Brunswick-1 and 1 Brunswick-2 to eliminate the high.drywell pressure permissive and add manual i inhibit switches ~to the ADS logic. Carolina Power & Light Company-will schedule ~the work'as'early'.as practicable in our current long-range plar.ning effort and will provide an update:on implementation when the pre-engineering has been completed'and the long-range plan has been fully developed.
