The NRC was notified of a reportable deficiency in' the' referenced telephone conversation. Due to the excensive investigation and I

evaluation required, an Interim Report is attached. It is now expected

that this information will_be finalized by April 16, 1984, at which time'--

a complete report' will be submitted.

' I.

- Description of Problem NCRs NA-1251 and NA-1252 have been issued to identify a nonconformance which resulted from NCR PX-1412, being superseded.

NCR PX-1412 was. applicable to Units 1, 2 & 3.

However, NCR NA-372

which superseded NCR PX-1412 only addressed Unit i valves. DER 80-21 was originally written for NCR PX-1412..

- The NCRs and the DER 80-21 were closed prior to -any repair to Units 2 and 3 valves.

Units 2 and 3 valves in question are indeterminate.
