- 1) TU Electric Letter logged TXX-91325 from William J. Cahill to NRC dated September 17, 1991 dentlemen:
On January 15, 1990. TV Electric notified the HRC of a change to the FSAR via TXX-90011 (pages 32 through 34 of the Attachment, FSAR Change Request Number 89-587).
The FSAR change involves adding an exception to the ASME-ACI 359 document for liquid penetrant or. magnetic particle examination of full

penetration attachment welds (section 5523.1).
As a result of subsequent discussions with the NRC staff regarding-this change, the following additional information.is provided as requested.

.The nondestructive examinations (NDE) of the accessible welds.below the spring line'are complete. ;The nondestructive examinations comply with the acceptance requirements of the specification.
Additionally, no relevant. indications were identified.
The NDE results will be incorporated into the Unit 2 calculation (Reference 1).
Since no unacceptable linear indications. were identified, the conclusions of the calculation remain unchanged.
