20555 Attention: Mr. S. A. Varga Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant - Units 1 and 2 Proposed Administrative Technical Specification Change Gentlemen:
Recent operating experience has identified several adninistrative corrections which are needed in each of the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant Unit Technical Specifications. contains a discussion of the proposed administrative changes to both Units 1 and 2 Technical Specifications and provides supporting background information and justifications. lists the changed Technical Specification pages and includes the proposed changed pages. The proposed changes do not involve a significant hazards consideration as defined in 10CFR50.92.
These changes are similar to example (1) of " Examples of Amendments That Are Considered Not Likely To Involve Significant Hazards Considerations" listed in 48FR14870 dated April 6,1983. These changes are similar, in that these changes are purely adninistrative..."to achieve consistency throughout the technical specifications, correction of an error, or a change in nomenclature."
The Plant Operations Review Comittee has reviewed this proposed change and the Nuclear Operations Review Board will review this proposed change at a future meeting.
This proposed technical specification change is considered to be a Class II amendment for Unit 1 and Class I for Unit 2 in accordance with 10 CFR 170.22. A check in the amount of $1,600;00 is therefore enclosed.
In accordance with the 1984 Alabama Power Company licensing plan previously discussed with the NRC Staff, NRC approval of this change is requested by September 1,1984.
