The program is reviewing fiUREG 1399 (the CPSLS Unit 1 Technical Specifications) to identif y the changes to the NUR[G which are needed to produce a single set of Technical Specifications applicable to both Units 1 and 2. The changes which have been identified are included in attachments (1) through (26). The f ormat selected f or the attachments was based on the formats used by other stations which have dual units and dual technical specifications. On all pages, the f ooter should be changed to read 'C0tiAtlCHL PEAK UNITS 1 AND 2',

in addition. TV Electric has bten validating the information which would apply to CPSES Unit 2. Attachments (1) through (27) identifies (in brac6ets),

information which has not been validated at this time. The remaining inf ormation -

has been validated in that the information was confirmed by the responsible engineering organizations, although some information could be subject to change when all related design dotuments are finalized.

The attached changes are curren+1y being processed through the CPSCS License Amendment Request program, in order to support a December 1992 f uel load for Unit 2, the scheduled date f or transmittal of the License Amendment Requests is June 1, 1992.

Several requests f or amending flVREG 1399 have been submitted to the NRC (i .e. ,

LAR 91 001 LAR 91-002 LAR 91 003, LAR 91-004, LAR 91 008, LAR 91 009, and LAR 91 010). These changes have been reviewed for Unit 2 and were determined to be applicable to Unit 2. F u r t he rmore . TV Electric anticipates submitting additional changes to NUklG 1399 prior to the June 1,1992 submittal desc ribed above. Attachment 2B lists the general areas where changes are being considered.
