1. AVAILABLE INFORMATION - DESCRIPTION OF DEFICIENCY ,

An inspection of the Feach Bottom Unit No. 3 core spray sparger revealed certain unacceptable conditions which will require removal and rework ~

of the sparger. -

Conditions found which 2equire correctin action include items con-cerning fabrication tack and fillet welds, are strikes, dimensioning*

in assembly of sparger components, and conditions of cleanlimess and preservation.

2. AVAILABLE INFORMATION - ANALYSIS OF SiFETY IMPLICATIONS There will be no safety implications following rewo k.

3._AVAILABLE INFORMATION - CORRECTIVE ACTION Rer.ove core spray sparger from Unit 3 vessel and ship to Reactor Controls, Inc. for rework to meet GE APE design requirements.
