SUMMARY

MONT11: November 1991 McGuire Unit 2 began the month of November operating at 100% full power.

The unit operated at or near 100% full power until 1143 on 11/08, when a reactor trip occurred due to control rod shutdown bank 'C' dropping into the coro during a control rod movement test. The unit returned on line at 0.556 on 11/10 and reached 100% full power at 2235 cn 11/10.

The unit then operated at or near 100% full power until 1750 on 11/24, when a power reduction was commenced due to a steam generator level instrumentation fi tting leak. The unit reached 14% power at 0349 on 11/25 and was held there until 0612 on 11/25. At this time, a load increase was begun. The increase was secured at 40% power from 0808 to 0905 on 11/25 to place feedwater pump 'A' in service. The next holds were at 48% power from 1055 to 1957 on 11/25 and at approximate 1v 52%

power from 2255 on l'/25 to 0538 on 11/26 both due to axial flux differential proble s. The unit was returned to 100% tull power at 2038 on 11/26, and -perated at or near 100% full power for the remainder of the month.
