Mr. A. Giambusso October 9,1974 Page 2 had blown. The fuse was replaced and the inverter was reset and re-turned to service.
Designation of Apparent Cause of Occurrence:
The power interruption was caused by a blown fuse in the d.c.
supply circuit to the HPCI static inver ter, No other systems were af fec ted since the fused circui t only supplies the HPC1 inverter.
Analysis of Occurrence:
The HPCI static inverter was inoperable for a maximum of 15 minutes. All other ECCS systems were opurabic at the time or' the trip-ping.
Due to the short duration of the power intercuption and the availabiiity of all other ECCS systems, this occurrence has minimal safety significence.
Correct ive Action:
The fuse in tn. d.c. supply circuit was immediately replaced.
An investigation of the d.c. distribution system supplying the inverter and the inverter itself, revealed no malfunctions that would have re-sulted in a power supply overiced. The inverter is operating satis-factorily since the replacement fuse was installed.
Failure Data:
This is the first occurrence of this type on this device.
Ver y truly yours, lol'l/-
