Conditions Prior to Occurrence:

Description of cccurrence Reactor Vater C1manup System MO-2-12-18 failed to operate electrically from snain ecatrol room avitch. The valve was in the open position end the Reactor Water Cleanup System was in operation prior to the occurrence.
Designation of Apparent. Cause of Occurrence: -
The control fuse in the motor circuit breaker blev several times when valve motion -
was attempted. The valve was lef t in the open position and circuit breaker lef t open.
Analysis of Occurrence:
Since the other isolation valve in this line is operable, the safety implications are minimal. Both Reactor Water Cleanup inlet isolation valves did isolate on a PCIS Group 2 isolation which occurred on reactor scram several hours earlier.
Corrective Action:

Investigation of the cause of the control fuse blowing is in progress.
