Abnormal Occurrence The following occurrence was reported to Mr. Don Caphton, Region 1, Of fice of Inspection and Enforcement, United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission on May 10, 1975 Written notification was made to Mr. James P. O'Reilly, Region 1, Of fice of Inspection and Enf orcement, Jnited States Nuclear Regulatory Commission on May 12, 1975 In accordance with Section 6 7 2.A of the Technical Specifications, Appendix A of DPR-56 for Unit 3 Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, the following occurrence is being submitted to the Directorate of Reactor Licensing as an Abnormal Occurrence.

Excessive leakage of SV-3671C on penetration N-51C.

Conditions Prior to Occurrence:

Unit 3 at approximately 100X power.

Description of Occurrence:

During a routine surveillance test, ST 6.2 PCIS Normally Open Valves, this inboard isolation valve would not fully close.

Analysis of Occurrence _:

is minimal because The safety implication of this occurrences alve SV-3 37dC was f ound to oper ate the oatboard isolation isolation valve has been closed and In addition, the upstream manual SV-3o71C has been repaired and satisf actorily will remain closed until tested.

Corrective Action:

New valse internals hase been ordered. When received, the valve will be disassembled, repaired and retested.

Failure Data:
