Dear Sir:

The NRC was notified of a potentially reportable deficiency in Reference (A), an Interim Report was transmitted by Ref erence (B), and Time Extensions were requested by References (C), (D), and (E), and a revised Interim Report was submitted in Reference (F). At that time, it was estimated that a Final Report would be available by December 13, 1983.

Due to the extensive investigation and evaluation required, it is now expected that this information will be finalized by January 13, 1984, at which time a complete report will be submitted.

There is no new information or change to the Interim Report at this time.

Very truly yours hld CLt L
