TIP machine isolation valve failed to close.
Conditions Prior to Occurrence:
About 555 power.
Description of Occurrence:
Following routine operation of the No.
- h. T2P aschine, the ball valve failed to close automatically.
Designation of Apparent Cause of Occurrence:
Sticking or binding in the ball valve solenoid mechanism.

The continuity of No. L TIP machine shear valfe was verified, b
and would have been capable of isolating the TIP guide tube if required.
The re=aining TIP machine ball valves were verified to be operational.
This occurrence has minimal safety implications.
Corrective Action:

The ball valve is De-Energize to close.
Proper operation of the TIP Logic was verified by removing the power feed to the valve and observing.

that the valve re=ained open.
A slight mechanical shock was applied to the valve =echanis=, closing it.
The machine was blocked to prevent operation until the valve operating mechanism can be inspected and adj us te d,
