STRESS CORROSION CRACKING OF HIGH HARDNESS TYPE 410 STAINLESS STEEL INTERNAL PRELOADED BOLTING IN ANCHOR DARLING MODEL 5350W SWING CHECK VALVES OR VALVES OF SIMILAR DESIGN Gentlemen:
TU Electric responded to the subject bulletin per the reporting requirements in TU Electric letter TXX-89677, dated Ociober 12, 1989.
The letter stated that the required information for Unit 2 would be provided prior to Unit 2 fuel load.
TU Electric has now completed the evaluation for Unit ?.
The information provided in TXX-89677 is also applicable for Unit 2.
No Anchor Darling Model 5350W swing check valves have been purcnased by CPSES, nor has TU Electric purchased any check salves with highly stressed, preloaded internal wetted pins or threaded members of high hardness Type 410 martensitic stainless steel or 17-4 pH stainless steel.
