In accordance eith Sectica 6.6.2 of the Technical Specifications, the following Absornn.1 Oecurrence in reported.
At 1357, July 11,1975, while operating normaly at full powr, control rod L-5 (in the rully vitbriruvn shutdcyn tank) dropped. This caused a load lunback to approxinately 70% pruer. The flux tilts geners.ted by this dropped red exeneded 9%, violating Technical Specification 3.10.3.2.
Duo to the flux tilts and the in:ibility to quickly corrtet the rod prohina, pcwor vr s reduced and the reactor vaa shutdown at 1/48. The a
atationary gripper coil was found to be defsetive, and, folleving a plant cooldown, the entire coil stack on CarH 1-5 van replaced.
