Dear Sir:
l In the above referenced letter, McGuire Nuclear Station elected to change the closure date for the Generic Letter 89-10 program closure from the original 12/28/94 date to the current 7/19/95 date for all Group 1 and Group 2 MOV's.
This is to inform you of our intention to extend the current committed date of 7/19/95 for closure of the subject program to September 30, 1995. The preclosure inspection by Region II of March 27, 1995 identified several program enhancements which are desirable.
Additional valve engineering resources have been j;
allocated to facilitate the additional analyses and documentation j
required.
We thank you for your continuing assistance in this matter as we l-strive to bring this long term project to a close during the l
remainder of 1995. We feel the GL 89-10 program has been an l.
enhancement to nuclear safety and a plus for the nuclear industry.
