Revision 2, dated February 14, 1992. By issue of that document the NRC requested plant specific schedules for implementation of the GIP, and submission of a report to the Staff summarizing the results of the USI A-46 review.

By reference 2 GPU Nuclear committed to submit its report by September 30,1995. This schedule was based on resources consisting of in-house personnel and outside consultants i available to support the parallel work activities for both TMI-l and Oyster Creek which l include USI A-46, IPEEE and Reg. Guide 1.97 actions.

GPU Nuclear completed the verification walkdowns at OCNGS in December 1994, and we i are currently working on data compilation, outlier resolution, and relay evaluation. Outliers  ;

which were identified as operability issues were corrected immediately.

C321-9'5-2155 l Page 2 i Our in-house resources just completed the final report for TMI's USI A-46 program which was submitted on May 17,1995, and supported activities for TMI's IPEEE program, the report for which was submitted on December 29,1994. Now, these resources are supporting Oyster Creek's IPEEE program commitments.

Our post walkdown followup activities for TMI have required significantly more resources than we initially anticipated, and we are now expecting the same.to be true for Oyster Creek. The effect of combining these efforts and the identification of remaining l

. work as a result of the verification walkdowns have caused us to reevaluate our schedule for completing all USI A-46 activities and preparing the final report. Accordingly, we ,

are requesting an extension of our commitment date for submitting the USI A-46 seismic evaluation report to March 29,1996. This extension will not affect the current schedule for USI A-46 modifications as indicated in the Oyster Creek Integrated Schedule.
